Product Operations Consultant

Full-Time | Remote (Toronto)

Expected base salary: $80,000 to $100,000.
Plus discretionary 10% annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation will be based on an individuals skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.

As a Product Operations Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our clients' product development teams and processes, from strategy to delivery, by leveraging your expertise in digital products, change management, and/or consulting. You have an obsession and history of intuitive, beautiful products, with a passion for uncovering and rectifying operational product team deficiencies utilizing a people-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization: Assess and streamline product development processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure smooth operations from ideation to delivery.
Operating Model Design: Analyze and recommend improvements to areas including (but not limited to) talent, sourcing, intra- and inter-team processes, innovation, and technology landscape with new organizational structures and operational design.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between various teams including product management, design, engineering, and marketing to ensure alignment and seamless execution of product initiatives. Facilitate communication and foster a collaborative environment conducive to innovation.
Change Impact Assessment & Governance: Analyze the impact of proposed changes on people, processes, and technology. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of any new processes and tools.
Performance Monitoring & Iteration: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product teams' success and track performance against goals. Analyze data and user feedback to identify areas for iteration and improvement, and drive continuous optimization of product features and functionality.

Key Requirements

Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset with the ability to understand business objectives and translate into actionable product plans. Experience developing product roadmaps and executing against strategic priorities.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and executives.
Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to navigate complex challenges.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of software development methodologies and technologies, with the ability to liaise effectively with engineering teams and understand technical constraints and considerations.
Leadership: Proven executive client management and empathetic team-building skills, nurturing relationships for growth and performance.

Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, product operations, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have an augmented consulting skillset, with high attention to detail and advanced analytical + storytelling capabilities.

Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Prosci Change Management, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.

This role is remote across Canada, however, may require periodic travel for client and/or team meetings.

Product Innovation Analyst

Full-Time | Remote (Toronto)

As a Product Innovation Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our clients' products, leveraging your creativity, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to drive impactful change.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy:
Collaborate with clients to define new, forward-thinking product strategies and roadmaps aimed at outshining competitors and gaining market share. Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Strategic Pivot: Identify opportunities for strategic pivots and new digital experiences to unlock untapped revenue streams and address evolving customer needs. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and competitive advantage.
Rapid Prototype Development: Transform ideas and concepts into tangible prototypes for quick market validation. Utilize rapid prototyping tools and methodologies to create prototypes that simulate user experiences and functionalities, enabling faster iteration and refinement.
Market Validation: Conduct user testing and gather feedback on prototypes to validate product concepts and identify areas for improvement. Analyze user feedback, market data, and performance metrics to iterate on prototypes and ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of product innovation initiatives. Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design sprints to generate and refine ideas collaboratively.

Key Requirements

Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. Experience with market research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking is preferred.
Creative Thinking: Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to address complex business challenges. Experience with design thinking, ideation techniques, and brainstorming methodologies is a plus.
Strategic Vision: Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives. Experience developing product roadmaps and defining key success metrics.
Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma. Experience creating prototypes for web and mobile applications, utilizing innovative technologies (e.g., AI or IoT) is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience presenting to stakeholders and facilitating workshops or design sprints is a plus.
